About Us
Roxy, the founder of Tahoe Line Dancing, grew up dancing in various styles such as jazz, contemporary, hip hop, salsa, and swing. She has always been passionate about dancing, but as an adult, finding dance opportunities became much more difficult. Despite her extensive dance background, Roxy only discovered line dancing later in life; she became immediately hooked, and knew that she had found her calling.
Roxy was thrilled to find a fun, welcoming, and inclusive community within line dancing where she could share her love of dance with others. Not much later, she began teaching line dance lessons at a local bar in South Lake Tahoe. As she saw how much other people enjoyed line dancing as well, and how it brought joy to their lives, Roxy became even more passionate about sharing this dance style with her local community and beyond.
Roxy started Tahoe Line Dancing with a vision to create a welcoming and inclusive community. Unlike other forms of dance, there's no need for a partner, it's much less formal, and mostly the goal is to just have fun! Line dancing calls to Roxy’s soul, and she is excited to share that passion with you all as well.
When she’s not on the dance floor, you can find Roxy doing all the Tahoe things: hiking, biking, camping, paddleboarding, rock climbing, and especially hanging out with her sweet rescue dog, Healy the hound.
